POTTSBORO, TEXAS – The East Central University men's golf team finished second, out of eight teams, at the 2016 Texoma Chevy Dealers Invitational at Tanglewood Resort.

Jordan Bates was second individually and senior
Jason Goben third.
ECU finished the two-round tournament with a 611 (+35), just nine strokes off the leader Texas A&M-Commerce (602).
Bates finished the event with a 147 (+3), five shots behind the Lions Hagan Wood in first (142). Goben was just one shot behind with a 148 (+4).
Sophomore
Bryce Newton was next for the Tigers, finishing tied for 11
th with a 156 (+12). Freshman
Taylor Nichols was tied for 21
st with a 160 (+16) and senior
Michael Million was tied for 27
th with a 164 (+20).
The Tigers will now get ready for their third-straight week of action at the Henderson State First Federal Bank Invitational. The tournament will be played at the Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home, Ark., April 3-5.
