FORT SMITH, ARK. – The East Central University women's golf team finished fourth, of seven teams, at the 2016 Lion's Classic hosted by Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Hardscrabble Country Club.
2016 Lions Classic Women's ResultsThe Tigers finished with a team score of 656 (330-326) for fourth, the best team finish of the season for ECU.  The Tigers were one of two teams from the Great American Conference at the tournament, finishing 56 strokes ahead of Northwestern (712/6
th).
Senior 
Sarah DeLong was the top finisher for ECU, tying for sixth individually with a 156 (76-80).  Junior

th with a 167 (87-80), sophomore

th with a 168 (83-85) and senior

th with a 173 (87-86).
The event was the final of the season for ECU before heading to the 2016 GAC Championship, April 24-26 at Hot Springs Country Club.
