Box Score ADA – The East Central University soccer team fell in the opening match of the season, 0-1, to Oklahoma Christian on a rainy day at Tiger Field.

The Tigers (0-1) played an even game with the Eagles, recording nine shots on goal to 11 and having 10 saves to nine by Oklahoma Christian. ECU was led by senior
Taylor Kennedy and sophomore
Kendall Smith, who each tallied two shots on goal.
Sophomore
Chloe Hull started in net for the Tigers, recording 10 total saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Eagles scored their goal at 14:49 in the first half to take the lead, and allowed ECU to record just four shots in the opening period.
The Tigers then picked up the momentum in the second half, recording 13 total shots, with six finding the net.
ECU will return to action, Sunday, Sept. 3 at Rogers State, with a 2 p.m. start time.
