ADA – After a weekend at home, the East Central University softball team will hit the road for a four-game Great American Conference series in Russellville, Ark., against Arkansas Tech, March 31 and April 1. Double-headers are set for each day with Friday starting at 3 p.m. and Saturday at noon.
The Tigers are currently 19-13 overall and 10-10 in the league after splitting the series with Henderson State last weekend. Junior
Alissa Taylor led the group with a .467 average, seven hits, two runs, a home run and two RBIs. Freshman
Jaclyn Willis added a .375 average, with ECU earning a .259 average as a team.

Karlie Milburn picked up a win in the circle, while freshman
Sierra Skaggs went 1-1. Milburn threw appeared in two games, throwing 8.0 innings, allowing five hits and three runs and striking out three. Senior
Kelbie Crelia has a strong weekend, appearing twice and striking out 11.
The Golden Suns come into the series with a 20-12 record overall and a 14-6 mark in the GAC after splitting the league series at Oklahoma Baptist last weekend.
On the year, ATU is led at the plate by Sydnie Henson. Henson has a .370 average, 27 hits, 14 runs and five RBIs. Megan Goodnight leads the team with 27 RBIs, while adding a .363 average, 41 hits and 16 runs.
The Golden Suns have five pitchers on their staff, with Jalissa Gum earning 46 percent of the time in the circle. Gum has thrown 109.1 innings and nine complete games, while earning a 7-6 record and 1.73 ERA. She has allowed 65 hits and 31 runs and struck out 186 batters.
The all-time series with ATU dates back to 2012 and currently stands at 9-10 after the Tigers have fallen in the last seven games. The teams have played only six games of the series in Russellville, battling to a 3-3 mark.
