ADA – The East Central University softball team will host Oklahoma Baptist this weekend, including the annual Pink Out weekend. The four-game Great American Conference series begins Friday, April 13 with the doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.. The teams will then play the final doubleheader of the series Saturday, April 14 at 12 p.m.
The Tigers are 17-23 overall and 12-18 in the Great American Conference standings, currently raking them eighth in the league race, with eight teams making the tournament. With three weeks left in the regular-season, ECU has 14 games left on the schedule.

Catherine Barrera, who has a .411 average, 46 hits, 24 runs and 11 RBIs. Freshman
Angel Stoker is the leader in the circle, with a 5-6 record, two saves, 3.85 ERA and 71.0 innings of work. Stoker has thrown three complete games, allowing 69 hits and 47 runs (39 earned) and struck out 22.
The Bison are 14-21 overall and 11-16 in the GAC, just one spot above ECU in the standings. OBU had some extra time off after three of their four games against Southwestern were cancelled last weekend.
OBU is hitting .293 as a team and allowing a .312 mark. The top hitter for the Bison is Kristen Grabin, with a .378 average, 16 runs, 34 hits and eight RBIs. She is one of four players with an average over .300 on the year and have played in at least 20 games.
OBU has a six-member pitching staff, with four seeing significant time in the circle. Katie Long has seen the most action, with 66.0 innings. Long has a 3.61 ERA, 6-6 record, two shutouts, 77 hits and 40 (34 earned) runs allowed and struck out 34.
The Tigers and the Bison have met on 40 previous occasions, including a 15-7 mark at Tiger Field and a 5-2 record when playing as GAC opponents.
