ADA – For the last time in the regular season, the East Central University softball team will hit the road for a four-game Great American Conference series at Southern Nazarene, April 20-21.  The teams have scheduled doubleheaders for each day, with Friday's starting at 2 p.m. and Saturday's at 12 p.m.

The Tigers are 20-26 overall and 15-21 in the GAC standings heading into the final two weeks of regular-season action.  ECU is currently tied for seventh in the lead standings, with eight making the trip to Bentonville, Ark., for the GAC Championship.

Freshman Jacey Henry had a strong weekend against Oklahoma Baptist and was named the GAC Freshman of the Week for her efforts.  On the mound she earned two wins and threw one complete game where she allowed six hits and two runs, while striking out six.  In her second win she finished the final 2.2 innings and struck out two.

Henry was also a force at the plate for ECU, hitting .636 over three games.  She tallied seven hits, one double and two back-to-back home runs, with four runs scored and six RBIs.  Henry also earned a 1.000 fielding percentage, with three putouts and three assisted outs.

The Crimson Storm are currently 21-24 overall and 17-16 for sixth in the league standings after earning two wins over Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday.

Mahina Sauer is the top producer at the plate, with a .434 average, 22 runs, 59 hits, 12 doubles, two home runs and 25 RBIs.

Seven pitchers have seen time in the circle, with Katelyn Brown seeing the most action, with 175.0 innings.  She has a 14-13 record, 2.68 ERA, 16 complete games, three shutouts, three saves, allowed 170 hits and 88 runs, and struck out 186.

The all-time series sits at 21-10 in favor of the Tigers, including a 14-6 mark as conference opponents and a 14-7 record when playing in Bethany, Okla.
