SHAWNEE, OKLA. – The East Central University men's and women's track & field teams both improved on their team finishes from a year ago at the 2019 Great American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The men moved up two spots to finish third and the women improved one spot to fifth.

On the men's side, the Tigers saw eight All-GAC performances (top-3 finish) from a total of four student-athletes. The women's team earned two All-GAC performances from redshirt junior

Abbie Winchester claiming GAC Elite Scholar-Athletes honors, with the top GPA of participating student-athletes that have completed 70 hours. Both earned the honor with 4.00 GPA's.

Tommy Grebe were named GAC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, with GPAs over 3.77 and 70 hours completed.
