FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – While compositing against teams from both NCAA Division I and II, East Central University men's track & field senior Larry Filer claimed the top spot on the podium, in a time of 9:10.52 at the Arkansas Twilight.

The time was a provisional mark for the 2019 NCAA Division II track & field championships.  The Wichita Falls, Texas, native finished over a second faster than the second place finisher from Rice University (Div. I).

Seniors Caleb Eagans and Dilland Gardner and junior Ludreche Bouanga also participated in the meet.
