ADA – East Central University Head Tennis Coach
Justin Graham has announced the signing of Erik Eldagsen for the 2015-16 season.
Eldagsen played at Cowley County Community College in 2013-14 and is a native of Santa Coloma De Ceruello, Spain. He finished the 2013-14 season ranked No. 23 in singles in NJCAA and is currently ranked No. 11 in the NJCAA singles preseason rankings.
"Erik will bring a lot of experience at the top of the lineup," said Graham. "I can see him splitting time at No. 1 and No. 2 singles right away for the Tigers."
Before coming to the US to compete at Cowley, Eldagsen played at the Bruguera Tennis Academy in Spain and competed in Spanish National Tournaments.
Eldagsen will join a Tigers team that is currently ranked No. 43 in the nation and No. 5 in the Central Region in the 2014-15 ITA Preseason Rankings. Two of ECU's players were ranked individually in singles, with freshman
Alex Fillat ranked No. 15 and senior
Max DeJuan No. 16 in the region.
The ECU women's team has also been ranked No. 10 in the ITA Central Region, with sophomore Julia Municoy ranked No. 15 in singles.
