Adria Abella has been named to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Men's At-Large First Team in his final season with the Tigers.

The men's at-large team consists of student-athletes from the sports of golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing, swimming & diving, tennis, water polo and wrestling. A student must be a starter or significant contributor to their team, maintain at least a 3.30 GPA and have competed at their school for more than one full school year.
Abella finished the season with a 13-10 overall record in singles and an 8-14 mark in doubles. The Lleida, Spain, native also went 3-1 in singles during Great American Conference action.
He helped ECU to the 2016 GAC Runner Up title at the GAC Championships. Along the way he earned All-GAC Second Team honors.
Abella is also a standout in the classroom, earning a 3.88 GPA in pre-engineering at East Central. He is one of four players from the GAC.
Only first teams were chosen for at-large district recognition, so all honorees will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
