BENTONVILLE, ARK. – The East Central University men's tennis team saw its 2015-16 season come to an end with a 4-5 loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State in the Great American Conference Championship match.

The Tigers (9-11, 1-3 GAC) fell behind early, dropping all three doubles matches to the Savage Storm (14-2, 3-1 GAC).
ECU picked up its first point at No. 4 singles when junior
Erik Eldagsen defeated Jack Gibbens 6-1, 6-1.
However, SEOSU got close to finishing the match with a win at No. 6 singles (4-1).
Sophomore
Adria Abella was the next to finish, earning a point for the Tigers with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Alberto Blesa at No. 3 singles.
Sophomore
Sergio Espias, the GAC Player and Newcomer of the Year, pulled the match to 4-3 with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Maksim Fil at No. 1 singles and sophomore
Alex Fillat tied the match at four with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 win over Netanel Alcabas at No. 2 singles.
The match then came down to No. 5 singles, where sophomore
Marc Lerch had battled through to a third set, but fell 5-7 in the set to give the Savage Storm the victory.
