WICHITA, KAN. – The East Central University women's tennis team split a pair of matches at West Genesis. The Lady Tigers (1-3) first fell to Newman 8-1 and then defeated Friends 8-0.

ECU's lone point against Newman came at No. 4 singles, where freshman
Julia Municoy defeated Hillary Hicks 6-2, 6-2.
The whole team then got in on the action against Friends, winning 8-0. The Lady Tigers earned two points by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 singles.
Senior
Agostina Moran and Municoy took an 8-1 win over Katy O'Reilly and Sierra Oltean at No. 1 doubles. Juniors
Kelsey Kerr and
Bernardita Muscillo added a third point with an 8-0 win over Meredity Haney and Alexis Johnson at No. 2 doubles.
Muscillo added a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of O'Reilly at No. 1 singles and Moran added the winning point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Oltean at No. 2 singles.
ECU will play one more road match, Tuesday, Feb. 18 when they travel to Tahlequa, Okla., to face Northeastern State at 11 a.m.
