OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. – The East Central University women's tennis team ended the regular season with an 8-1 win over Southern Nazarene and claimed the No. 3 seed at the 2016 Great American Conference Championship Tournament, April 21-23 in Bentonville, Ark.

ECU took an early advantage by taking a 3-0 lead after the doubles matches. Freshman

Julia Municoy added an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles and redshirt freshman

Gloria Mayorga finished the round with an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles.

Veronica Mijares gave the Tigers their fourth point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Haley Cantwell at No. 6 singles. Ghosh picked up the match-winning point at No. 5 singles, with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kylie Lang.
ECU also added wins by Municoy at No. 1 (6-1, 6-4), Garcia at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-2) and Makashov at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-4).
