ADA – Over the next week, the East Central University women's tennis team's 2014 season will get into full swing, with three matches scheduled. The Lady Tigers (1-3) will first travel to Tahlequa, Okla., Tuesday, Feb. 18 to face No. 25 Northeastern State at 11 a.m.
ECU will then return home to start a nine match home stand, Sunday, Feb. 23 against Central Oklahoma at 1 p.m. and Seminole State, Monday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.
The Lady Tigers are being led by freshman
Julia Municoy, who is 3-1 in singles play after winning her last three matches. Juniors
Kelsey Kerr and
Bernardita Muscillo are leading the team in the double side, with a 2-1 record after winning the last two outings.
Northeastern State comes into Tuesday's match with a 3-1 record after the Ouachita Baptist Quad, Feb. 7-8. The RiverHawks split the last two matches of the tournament, falling to Arkansas Tech 4-5 and then defeating OBU 6-0.
UCO is currently 2-0 for the season and will face Cowley County, Friday, Feb. 21 before coming to Ada. Seminole State is 0-3 on the year, with their last matches being played Saturday, Feb. 15.
