ADA – The East Central University women's tennis team won its second-straight match in as many days, with a 5-4 win over Northwest Missouri State at the Ada High School Tennis Courts.

The Lady Tigers (3-9) started out by taking a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches. ECU lost the first point at No. 3 doubles, but then rebounded to win No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.

Bernardita Muscillo first combined for an 8-2 win over Mariann Hull and Mara Veasey at No. 2 doubles. Freshman

Elisabeth Dignard then finished with an 8-5 win over Lorena Rivas and Alexis Bartek at No. 1 doubles.
Dignard made the score 3-1 as the first player to finish the singles matches, defeating Stephanie Mannix 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Muscillo put ECU within one point of the win with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over Rivas at No. 1 singles.
The Bearcats (7-7) took the next three points to tie the match at four, which left the overall decision to No. 6 singles. Junior
Kelsey Kerr gave the Lady Tigers the win with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Veasey for the victory.
ECU will wrap up an eight match home stand with its first Great American Conference match of the season, Thursday, March 27 against Southern Nazarene at 1 p.m. at Mayhue Courts.
