ADA – The East Central University women's tennis team dropped its first Great American Conference match of the season, 4-5, to Southern Nazarene at Mayhue Courts.

The Lady Tigers (3-10, 0-1 GAC) fell behind 1-2 after the doubles matches. Juniors
Katelin Threet and
Kelsey Kerr earned the point for ECU with an 8-0 win over Haley Cantwell and Bekah Stewart at No. 3 doubles.
Kerr tied the set at two with a win at No. 5 singles over Cantwell (6-0, 6-0), and Threet gave the Lady Tigers a 3-2 lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles over Stewart.
The Crimson Storm (5-2, 3-1GAC) tied the set at three with a win at No. 3 singles before freshman
Julia Municoy gave the Lady Tigers a 4-3 advantage by taking a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles over Natalia Moreno.
That was the last point for ECU, as SNU claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 4 singles for the overall match win.
The Lady Tigers will hit the road to get ready for a 3 p.m. match, Friday, March 28 at the University of Texas at Tyler and a Saturday, March 29 match against Tyler Junior College.
