BENTONVILLE, ARK. – The East Central University men's tennis team earned a spot in the 2014 Great American Conference Championship Match when they defeated Harding, 5-2, in the semifinals. The win also avenged a loss to Harding less than a week ago at Mayhue Courts in Ada, Okla.

Andrew Cabato were the first to finish, earning an 8-1 win over Caleb McReynolds and Josh Hurt at No. 1 doubles.
Junior
Nate Kipping and freshman
Stefan Schodlbauer then defeated Mathaus Spiering and Yann Le Mat 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.
Juniors
Marc Fillat and
Max DeJuan then added the third point with an 8-2 win over Jon Mark Rowden and Brandon Hogland at No. 2 doubles.
Caminos made the score 4-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over La Mat at No. 3 singles, before Harding earned the next two points with wins at No. 1 and No. 4 singles.
The final point of the match for the win came from Kipping, who defeated Hurt 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
ECU will now face Ouachita Baptist in the GAC Championship match, Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Park Tennis Courts.
