ADA – The East Central University men's tennis team picked up a 6-3 win over Seminole State in the opening match of the spring portion of the 2014-15 season at Mayhue Courts.

Max DeJuan and freshman Marc Lerch added a second point with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
Freshman
Adria Abella was the first to finish in singles action, earning a win over Bell (6-1, 6-0). Lerch made the score 4-1 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Alex Clerihew. No. 1 and No. 2 singles fell to SSC, making it 4-3.
Schodlbauer then gave the Tigers the victory with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Cesar Reyna at No. 6 singles. Freshman
Alex Fillat added the final point with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over Ian Sioux at No. 4 singles.
ECU will now hit the road for a strong weekend of competition in Springfield, Mo. The Tigers, who are ranked No. 5 in the region, will face Washburn, who is ranked No. 9 in the region, Saturday, Feb. 7 at noon. ECU will then face No. 11 (nationally) Drury, Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
