ADA – The East Central University men's and women's tennis teams will be back in action, Tuesday, March 3 after having the last two weeks off. The men's team will be the first to get back on the courts, with a 1 p.m. start time against Southeastern Oklahoma State, while the women are schedule to face Mary at 5 p.m. at Mayhue Courts.
The men's team is currently 2-3 on the season after defeating Newman (5-4) Feb. 15 in their last outing. The Tigers are ranked No. 9 in the ITA DII Central Region, as of Feb. 18.
ECU has seen some strong doubles play from senior
Nate Kipping and senior
Stefan Schodlbauer, who are 4-0 at No. 3 doubles this season. Schodlbauer also adds a 3-2 mark at No. 6 singles.
The women's team is 4-2 overall and is now ranked No. 9 in the ITA DII Central Region.
Senior
Elisabeth Dignard has gone 4-0 at No. 3 singles for the Tigers, while freshman
Srijita Ghosh is 4-1 at No. 4 singles.
Both teams will continue their busy week on the road starting Thursday, March 5 when the women's team will face Cameron.
On the men's side, the Tigers will travel to Lawton, Okla., to face Cameron and Colorado State-Pueblo, Friday March 6.
