FORT SMITH, ARK. – The East Central University women's tennis team returned to action after a week off, falling to Arkansas Fort Smith, 1-8 in non-conference action.

The Tigers (6-6) fell behind 0-3 after doubles, with the lone point coming at No. 2 singles from senior Bernardita Muscillo.

Muscillo took a three-set decision from Taylor Price, 7-5, 1-6, 11-9.

ECU will return to the courts for three matches next weekend, staring with a March 27 match against Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo.  The Tigers will also face Southwest Baptist (March 28) in Maryville and then travel to Cowley County JC for a March 29 match in Arkansas, Kan.
