ARKANSAS CITY, KAN. – The East Central University men's tennis team got back on track, earning a 6-3 win over Cowley County Community College in the final of three games over the weekend.
The Tigers took a 2-1 lead after the doubles match, with No. 2 and No. 3 doubles earning wins. Freshman

Max DeJuan defeated McCann Bell and Joseph Davenport 8-4 at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore
Stefan Schodlbauer and senior
Nate Kipping then added an 8-4 win of their own at No. 3 doubles.
Senior
Marc Fillat made it 3-1 for ECU with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Juan Bermudez at No. 2 singles. Freshman
Alex Fillat then put the match within reach, with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Erik Eldagsen at No. 1 singles.
The final point needed for the win came from freshman
Adria Abella who defeated Davenport 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6 singles. The final point of the match for the Tigers came from Schodlbauer, with a 2-6, 6-4, 10-1 win over Godov at No. 5 singles.
ECU will now get ready to start Great American Conference action, Saturday, March 4 when they host Ouachita Baptist at 10 a.m. at Mayhue Courts.
