ADA – The East Central University men's tennis team earned a 6-3 non-conference win over Oklahoma Baptist at Mayhue Courts.

The Tigers (6-9) took an early 2-1 lead after doubles.  Senior Marc Fillat and freshman Alex Fillat earned an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles and sophomore Stefan Schodlbauer and senior Nate Kipping then added an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles

Freshman Adria Abella gave ECU a 3-1 lead with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jacob Allbritton at No. 6 singles.  Schodlbauer added a win over Babji Atturu at No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-4) and Alex Fillat gave the Tigers the match win with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles.

The final point of the day came from sophomore Trevor Kipping at No. 4 singles, 6-7, 7-5, 10-5.

ECU will now get ready to face Nebraska-Kearney, Sunday, April 12 at 9 a.m. in a regional match.
