ADA – The East Central University women's tennis team fell to Oklahoma Baptist, 4-5, in non-conference action at Mayhue Courts.

The Tigers (9-10) earned a single point during doubles play, with senior Bernardita Muscillo and freshman Srijita Ghosh picking up an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.

ECU then earned wins at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles, but fell in 1-3 singles resulting in the 4-5 score.

Sophomore Gloria Mayorga first claimed a 7-6 (3), 6-1 win over Ashlynn Abbe at No.4 singles.  Ghosh defeated Alex Morales 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and freshman Veronica Mijares earned a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 win at No. 6 singles.

The Tigers will now get ready for a regional match against Nebraska-Kearney, Sunday, April 12 at 9 a.m.
