SEARCY, ARK. – The East Central University women's tennis team claimed a share of the 2014-15 Great American Conference Regular-Season Championship with a 7-2 win over Harding in the final regular-season match of the season.
The Tigers (12-11, 5-1 GAC) took an early 2-1 lead after doubles, winning No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Sophomore

Gloria Mayorga then made it 2-0 with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
The Tigers then took all but No. 1 singles to claim the 7-2 win. Senior
Bernardita Muscillo defeated Katie Huff (6-1, 6-1) at No. 2 singles. Dignard earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Arielle Butler at No. 3 singles. Mayorga added a 6-3, 6-1 win over Emily Faulkner at No. 4 singles. Freshman
Srijita Ghosh defeated Sydni Sansom 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and freshman
Veronica Mijares earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
ECU will now have to wait for a determination of seeding from the GAC office for the 2014-15 GAC Championships, April 24-25 in Bentonville, Ark.
