SEMINOLE, OKLA. – The East Central University women's tennis team dropped a 1-8 decision to NJCAA #3 ranked Seminole State in the spring opener.

The Tigers (0-1) saw their lone point come at No. 6 singles.  Sophomore Veronica Mijares claimed the point with a 6-4, 6-3 decision over Kailey Hamilton.

ECU will face Texas Permian Basin, Friday, Feb. 5 in Edmond, Okla., and then return home for the first match at Mayhue Courts, Saturday, Feb. 6 against Midwestern State at 1 p.m.
