ADA – For the first time, with records available, the East Central University tennis teams will be facing Lewis University, Tuesday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at the Ada High School Tennis Courts.
The men's team is currently 1-2 overall and has been idle since a 6-3 victory over Cowley County Feb. 20.
Sophomore
Sergio Espias has come out strong for the Tigers this season, starting with a 3-0 record at No. 3 singles and a 1-2 mark at No. 3 doubles with junior
Stefan Schodlbauer.
The Lewis men's team is 4-1 and will face Arkansas-Fort Smith, Monday, Feb. 29 before coming to Ada. The Flyers have three players with a 4-1 singles record, with Alan Braschinsky and Mate Sradanovic also combing for a 5-0 mark at No. 1 doubles. Braschinsky and Sradanovic are both 4-1 at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
The ECU women's team is 2-2 after falling in their last outing (Feb. 26) to Tarleton State.
Sophomore Srijita Gosh is the leader in the single matches for the Tigers, with a 3-3 mark at No. 5. Juniors
Gloria Mayorga and
Julia Municoy have the best record in doubles as 2-1 at both No. 1 and No. 2.
The Flyers are 2-2 on the year and will face Arkansas-Fort Smith Monday, Feb. 29 before coming to town.
Dora Andrejszki and Nora Mindiyarova have combined for a 4-0 record at No. 1 doubles. Andrejszki is 2-2 at No. 1 singles and Mindiyarova is 3-1 at No. 2 singles this season.
