ADA – The East Central University men's tennis team dropped a 3-6 decision to No. 14 Midwestern State, in the first matches of the 2015-16 season at Mayhue Courts.

The Tigers (0-2) were trailing 1-2 after doubles, with the duo of junior Erik Eldagsen and sophomore Adria Abella claiming an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles against Radu Popa and Chirs Norrie.

The Mustangs (1-0) took No. 1 and No. 2 singles to push their lead to 1-4.

Eldagsen then added a second point for ECU, with a 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-2 win at No. 4 singles over Dylan Hall. 
Sophomore Sergio Espias pushed the score to 3-4 with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles over Radu Popa.
However, MSU took the final two singles matches for the 3-6 final.

The Tigers will now hit the road for a neutral match against St. Mary's, Saturday Feb. 13 at 10 am. In Midlothian, Texas.
