ADA – After almost a week off, the East Central University men's tennis team returned to the courts and earned a 7-2 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Ada High School Tennis Courts.

Sophomore
Marc Lerch and junior
Trevor Kipping were the first to score for ECU, picking up an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles over Eli Harper and Travis Christensen.
The Lions then took the point at No. 1 doubles, but sophomore
Alex Fillat and redshirt freshman
Albert Lapiedra claimed the final point for the Tigers with an 8-2 win over Luke Anderson and Pedro Carvalho at No. 2 doubles.
Junior
Erik Eldagsen made the score 3-1 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Carvalho at No. 4 singles and sophomore
Sergio Espias got the match within reach with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Josh Coleman at No. 1 singles.
The match winning points was then scored by sophomore
Adria Abella with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Anderson at No. 3.
ECU also got points from Lerch at No. 5 singles (6-2, 6-4) and junior
Stefan Schodlbauer at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-0).
The busy week continues, March 13-14 in Emporia, Kan. The Tigers will face Emporia State, Sunday, March 13 and Augustana College, Monday, March 14.
