EMPORIA, KAN. – The East Central University men's tennis team extended its winning streak to four with a 6-3 victory over Emporia State in a regional match.

Stefan Schodlbauer were the first to finish with an 8-3 win over Collin Connor and Farham Sadique at No. 3 doubles.

Erik Eldagsen then added a 9-8 (4) win over Patrick Cameron and Gerard Pont at No. 1 doubles.
The Hornets (9-1) tied the match at two by winning No. 4 singles, but ECU responded taking the next three sets for the match win.
Abella was the next to finish at No. 2 singles, defeating Louis Ledin 6-4, 6-2. Espias made it 4-2 with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Cameron at No. 1 singles and sophomore
Alex Fillat earned the match-winning point with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
Sophomore March Lerch picked up the final point for ECU with a 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 win at No. 5 singles over Keenan Smith.
The Tigers will return to action, Friday, March 18 when they host both Southwest Baptist and Newman at the Ada High School Courts starting at 10 a.m.
