EMPORIA, KAN. – The East Central University women's tennis team rebounded with a 7-2 win over Emporia State in regional action.

Becca Richison started with an 8-2 win over Lori Ahuja and Kristen Fraley at No. 3 singles.
The Hornets (7-2) took No. 2 doubles, but No. 1 doubles ended up going to ECU after a forfeit.
The Tigers added a point to the lead with a forfeit at No. 6 singles and junior
Gloria Mayorga made the score 4-1 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lori Ahuja at No. 4 singles.
Ghosh then recorded the match-winning point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Fraley at No. 5 singles.
ECU also picked up points from junior
Julia Municoy at No. 1 singles and sophomore
Alex Makashov at No. 3 singles.
The Tigers will return to action, Friday, March 18 when they host both Southwest Baptist and Newman at the Ada High School Tennis Courts starting at 10 a.m.
