Women’s Tennis Goes 1-3 Over Weekend

ADA – The East Central University women's tennis team went 1-3 over the weekend, with a win coming Sunday, March 20 6-3 against Western New Mexico.

The Tigers fell 1-6 to Southwest Baptist, 3-6 to Newman and 4-5 to Northwest Missouri State.

ECU was led by sophomore Veronica Mijares, who earned three wins at singles in the four matches. Sophomore Alex Makashov and juniors Julia Municoy and Gloria Mayorga each earned two wins and redshirt freshman Anna Garcia earned one win.

The Tigers return to action, Friday, March 25 against Nebraska Kearney in Tulsa, Okla.
