ADA – After two busy weeks of action, the East Central University tennis teams will have a slow week, with just one match on the schedule. Both the men's and women's tennis teams will face NCAA Central Regional opponent Nebraska at Kearney, Friday, March 25 at 10 a.m. in Tulsa, Okla.
The men's team is currently 6-7 overall and ranked No. 7 in the regional poll and No. 45 in the national poll after going 3-4 over the last two weeks. UNK's men are ranked No. 2 in the region and No. 19 in the nation, with an 11-0 overall record and an 8-0 mark against regional opponents.
Sophomore
Alex Fillat had a strong showing for ECU over the past two weeks, going 5-1 in singles play and winning the last five matches. Fillat is ranked No. 7 in singles in the ITA NCAA Central Region and is 9-9 overall in singles matches this season.
The women's team is 6-9 overall and ranked No. 10 in the latest regional polls. UNK is not currently ranked in the Central Region, but is 8-3 overall and 7-2 against region opponents.
Junior
Julia Municoy went 3-3 in singles play for ECU in the last two weeks and is ranked No. 18 in the regional singles polls.
