TULSA, OKLA. – The East Central University men's tennis team played its fifth-straight ranked opponent, falling 2-7 to No. 21 Nebraska at Kearney in Tulsa, Okla.

The Tigers (6-8) fell behind 0-3 after the doubles matches, with two of the three falling 6-8.

ECU got points from sophomore Alex Fillat and redshirt freshman Albert Lapiedra.  Fillat earned a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles over Justin Nguyen.  Lapiedra added a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles over Aaron Reekie.

The Tigers will return to the courts Wednesday, March 30 when they host St. Edward's at 12 p.m. at Mayhue Courts.
