RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – The East Central University women's tennis team dropped a tight 4-5 decision to Arkansas Tech in Great American Conference action.

ECU tied the match at two, with the first singles match to finish. Sophomore
Srijita Ghosh earned the point with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Roca at No. 5 singles.
The Golden Suns (9-9, 3-1 GAC) took No. 2 singles to regain the lead, but junior
Julia Municoy tied the match again with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles over M. Sedano Acosta.
Sophomore
Veronica Mijares gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Maria Vlaskina at No. 6 singles, but ATU took the final two singles matches in three sets for the 4-5 decision.
ECU will be back in league action Thursday and Friday, with a 2 p.m. match at Oklahoma Baptist set for Thursday, April 7 and a home match against Southern Nazarene, Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m.
