ARKADELPHIA, ARK. – In the second Great American Conference match of the 2016 season, the East Central University women's tennis team claimed a 9-0 win over Ouachita Baptist to move to 2-0 in league play.

Srijita Ghosh added a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Camila Ferreria at No. 5 singles, while junior
Gloria Mayorga earned the win for ECU with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Polina Tsymbalova at No. 4 singles.

Veronica Mijares and redshirt freshman
Anna Garcia also earned two-set wins in the match. Mijares defeated Baylee McBride 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles, while Garica added a 6-1, 6-4 win over Mallory Tabler at No. 2 singles.
Junior
Julia Municoy earned a 3-6, 6-2, 10-0 win over Vanja Bogetic at No. 1 singles, while sophomore
Alex Makashov claimed a 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 win over Valeriya Mansvetova at No. 3 singles.
The Tigers will continue GAC action, Tuesday, April 5 with a 1 p.m. battle with Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.
