SHAWNEE, OKLA. – The No. 38 East Central University men's tennis team earned its first Great American Conference win of the season, with a 7-2 victory at Oklahoma Baptist at the OBU Tennis Center.

Erik Eldagsen and sophomore
Sergio Espias were the first to finish, earning an 8-3 win over Michael Vetter and Lucas Castelo Branco at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore

Alex Fillat added an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles over Daniel Aguilera and Thomas Ackerknecht, while junior
Trevor Kipping and sophomore
Marc Lerch wrapped up doubles with a 9-8 win at No. 3 over Babji Atturu and Ian Sims.
The Bison (13-6, 0-2 GAC) earned their first point at No. 1 singles, but Lerch put the match within reach for ECU with a 7-6, 6-0 win over Reda Jirari at No.4 singles.
Eldagsen earned the match-winning point at No. 3 singles, with a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Castelo Branco.
The Tigers also saw points from junior
Stefan Schodlbauer at No. 5 singles (6-2, 0-6, 10-6) and senior
Felix Desharnais at No. 6 singles (6-3, 7-5).
ECU will wrap up the regular season next week with matches against Southeastern (Monday, April 11) and Harding (Saturday, April 16) at Mayhue Courts.
